My sweet obsession

Christmas 2011

My favorite gathering of the year is a Christmas Open House that I host on Christmas Eve.  When my dad passed away and my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, our Christmas tradition needed to change.  I love being surrounded by friends and family and every year brings new faces to our door.

This display was a blast to make.  The stand was made from cake drums, cans and ribbon.  I had fun using some of my new tools to decorate everything.  The only problem was that no one seemed comfortable disturbing the display, so I was left with a lot of cake afterward.
