Earlier tonight I delivered this cherry blossom cake to a friend for her 15th birthday. It was a quick turn-around, as I got the call on Monday or Tuesday. Her request was for “a blue background with a pretty design”; also she wanted white cake with peanut butter filling. Mission accomplished!
I’ve been wanting a good excuse to do a cherry blossom cake. They are so pretty with their branches and blossoms going every-which-way. I used a Wilton mold for this one, and I have to admit that it was quite nice to work with. I think I’ll try some of their other designs in the future.
All in all, it was a success. Georgia seemed pleased with her cake. Now if only I knew how it tasted…
